Hazard Analysis HazAn Fault Tree Quantified Risk Analysis Scotland Falkirk
Hazard Analysis is a quantified risk assessment technique using fault tree analysis. It works from the roots of the initiating events bringing in the branches of the bases of safety and protective systems to predict the frequency of a specific event. This can be used to:
- Assess the effectiveness of design options
- Assess Safety Instrumented Systems for function and integrity - Functional Safety (SIL/SIS)
- Demonstrate the residual risk is As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) as required by The Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH)
- Cost Benefit Analysis
