Clark Eriksson were involved in the Spirit and Wash Still Design and Relief Philosophy for a new major Whisky Distillery for a Global Drinks Manufacturer.  Our remit included Finite Element Analysis of the Copper Stills to assess for a Pressure Rating, which then led to a relief philosophy and design for the vents for these stills.

 

Food & Drink Case Study 2

Clark Eriksson carried out a DSEAR Assessment and Area Classification review of an existing Malt Whisky Distillery.  The scope of works was to carry out a formal Area Classificiation Review, to ascertain extent of flammable hazardous areas inside and outside the Main Still room, we then undertook an ATEX Assessment of the exsting equipment with recommendations for equipment replacement.  Our scope then moved on to a validation phase of the final installation with equipment inspection for fit for purpose and verification of Instrinsic Safety Loop Calculations.  We have recently been asked to carry out the next phase of this project with a similar excercise for other areas of the Distillery.
